Sharon is recognised as one of the leading mediators in New Zealand," said Mark Beech of Holland Beckett, Tauranga who presented the 2016 Mediator of the Year award.

Since 2010, Sharon has mediated family disputes regarding care of children, working with all parties to achieve positive lasting outcomes for parents and children. 

Sharon is an advanced facilitator and an accredited assessor of Restorative Justice Facilitators for the Ministry of Justice Restorative Justice programme.   With an understanding of te reo and tikanga, Sharon has also worked with Mãori groups in the delivery of Restorative Justice services.

In her role as District Inspector of Mental Health for Waikato and Bay of Plenty, Sharon is also active in dealing with disputes in the health sector where she previously worked as a New Zealand Registered nurse.
